Mark Roberts Motion Control Ltd Receives Queen's Award

A Surrey robotics company, Mark Roberts Motion Control Ltd (MRMC), has been presented the Queen's Award for Enterprise for International Trade in 2017 by Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester.

The annual award serves as recognition of a company's continued achievements in the export of British products, goods and services.

Esteemed visitors toured the Surrey grounds including the High Sheriff of Surrey Robert Napier CBE, the Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey Michael More-Molyneux, the Chairman of Surrey County Council Peter Martin, the Chairman of Tandridge District Council Gill Black, Surrey Police & Crime Commissioner David Munro, local councillors and East Grinstead Mayor Julie Mockford, accompanied by the Company's CEO Assaff Rawner. Nikon Corporation President Kazuo Ushida and Corporate Vice President Toru Iwaoka both flew in specifically from Tokyo for the occasion.

The range of equipment MRMC manufacture for film-making, visual-effects and broadcasting, including large computer controlled cranes, underwater cameras and high-speed Cinebots, was shown to the Duke before he addressed the staff and presented the award to CEO Assaff Rawner.

Assaff Rawner responded on behalf of the company: "I am proud and humbled to stand at this significant moment in the company's history, receiving this immensely prestigious award on behalf of the Company's management and team from Her Majesty The Queen. The Company has come a long way in a relatively short time and continues to grow and expand through creating innovative, robotic solutions."
