Waves Audio Honoured With TEC Award For eMotion LV1 Classic

Waves Audio, the world's leading developer of professional audio signal processing technologies and plugins, has received a NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award at the 41st Annual TEC Awards, held on Thursday, January 22, during The 2026 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California.

The company’s eMotion LV1 Classic, a fully integrated live mixing console, was awarded top honors in the Small Format Console Technology category. Finalists across all categories were selected by industry professionals from major music, sound, and game audio associations, alongside pro-audio-focused media groups.

The eMotion LV1 Classic delivers 64 stereo channels (128 inputs) and 44 stereo buses, with expansion options up to 80 stereo channels (160 inputs), 52 buses, and 32 auxes. The console features 16 inputs powered by Waves Signature Preamps with a fully discrete analogue design for maximum headroom and ultra-low noise, alongside what Waves describes as the live sound industry’s deepest built-in processing. Its design combines an intuitive workflow, scalability, and portability within a classic hardware form factor.
Building on the proven sound quality of the Waves LV1 mixer engine, the LV1 Classic brings its capabilities into a console workflow favoured by live sound engineers worldwide. The system integrates a large 21.5-inch multi-touch screen with tactile physical controls, advanced processing, and a robust physical build, delivering high-end live mixing power in a compact footprint.

Presented annually at The NAMM Show, the NAMM TEC Awards recognize individuals, companies, and innovations shaping the sound of recordings, live performances, film, television, video games, and other media. The awards also celebrate pioneers of audio technology and the music industry's most accomplished producers and audio technicians through the TEC Hall of Fame.
