Hitomi Launches MatchBox Panorama
Hitomi Broadcast has unveiled a new visualisation platform designed to improve timing and latency management across complex production workflows.
The system, called MatchBox Panorama, will be officially showcased at the NAB Show 2026, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Centre from 19 to 22 April 2026.
Building on the success of Hitomi's existing MatchBox technology—widely regarded as a global standard for point-to-point latency and lip sync measurement—the new platform provides engineers with a comprehensive view of timing across entire production chains. By consolidating data into a single interface, MatchBox Panorama aims to help identify latency sources more quickly and reduce the time required to align production systems.
The platform enables monitoring of multiple signal sources while also allowing engineers to insert data probes at any stage of the signal path. This capability makes it possible not only to synchronise feeds accurately but also to pinpoint where delays are being introduced, simplifying optimisation across complex broadcast environments.
Russell Johnson, Director, Hitomi said: "Live sport is hugely important to American audiences, and lip sync and latency issues can ruin the experience. At NAB, we will demonstrate how MatchBox Panorama brings every probe and measurement together in one place, making it simple to optimise timing across complex, contribution workflows. This also provides opportunities for other sporting environments, such as Colleges and Universities, to achieve the same, professional and effective latency set-up."
MatchBox Panorama is offered as a standalone software solution but is designed for integration into wider production ecosystems. The company confirmed it has already been successfully deployed within the Grass Valley AMPP environment, with additional partnerships expected to be announced in the near future.
