Ateme's KYRION Powers NT's Live Contribution

National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) selected Ateme's KYRION as the core platform for its nationwide live video contribution during coverage of the Southeast Asian Games 2025 in Thailand, underpinning video transport across venues and broadcast centres.

The rollout delivered reliable, premium‑quality live contribution where operational stability and performance were paramount.

Leveraging KYRION contribution encoding and decoding units, NT ran 1080p 10‑bit 4:2:2 workflows with low, consistent latency. The compact, broadcast‑grade hardware simplified field deployment, while front‑panel video monitoring and remote supervision streamlined daily operations across multiple sites.

"For an event of this scale, operational reliability and picture quality are absolutely essential," said Colonel Chuchart Pimprasert, IBC Manager at NT. "KYRION gives our teams confidence in daily operations and stable performance in the field."

The platform also safeguarded NT's long‑term investment, supporting software upgrades up to UHD without hardware swaps. An optional BISS‑CA security upgrade provided robust, cost‑effective content protection, and Ateme’s ongoing software evolution keeps the system aligned with industry progress.

"KYRION has been trusted in the contribution market for over 20 years," said Duc Long Nguyen, Regional Sales Manager for Thaïland at Ateme. "Its stability, low-latency performance, and UHD software upgrade path make it a future-ready platform for national-scale infrastructures."

Recently enhanced with next‑generation decoding capabilities, KYRION is designed to accommodate evolving formats and operational needs well into the next decade, combining broadcast‑grade performance with software‑driven flexibility. Its use during the Games demonstrated the solution's robustness and supported high‑quality production workflows across NT's network.
