Ikegami To Showcase Latest Broadcast Technology

Ikegami USA is set to unveil a range of new broadcast cameras, controllers and monitors at the NAB Show 2026, taking place from April 19 to 22 in Las Vegas.

The company will exhibit on Central Hall booth C3819, highlighting its latest developments aimed at meeting evolving demands in broadcast production.

"High signal quality, versatility, ease of operation and futureproof continue to be major requirements when broadcast content creators are expanding or upgrading their infrastructure," said Alan Keil, Senior Engineering Fellow at Ikegami USA.

Among the products on display will be the latest additions to Ikegami's UNICAM XE camera series, including its flagship 4K-UHD models. These systems share a common network control architecture designed to allow seamless transitions between different camera units.

"Among the latest-generation products we will demonstrate at NAB 2026 are our flagship UNICAM XE 3-CMOS ⅔-inch 4K-UHD cameras. These share the same network camera control architecture, allowing camera crews to transition easy between the various models in the series. A recent addition to our 4K lineup is the ultra-compact UHL-X40 which is optimized for robotic applications. Other UNICAM XE cameras on show will be the studio/portable UHK-X700 and its UHK-X750 full studio version, plus the studio/portable UHK-X600 and HDK-X500 which are HD models that have upgrade paths to 4K-UHD.

"Ikegami will introduce a key new feature in an upgraded version of its top end UNICAM XE models. Stay tuned for further details."

A key focus for the company at this year's event will be IP-based production workflows. The IPX-100 compact base station supports SMPTE ST 2110 standards, enabling remote and studio operations over IP while maintaining compatibility with traditional baseband workflows. It allows camera connectivity over long distances using fibre cabling, with integrated tools for setup and monitoring.

Ikegami will also present its OCP-500 operation control panel, now in full production following its prototype debut last year. The slimline unit offers full remote camera control through a touchscreen interface and supports multiple connection options including Ethernet and RS-422.

Another highlight is the UHL-X40 box camera, featuring a two-piece design with a compact camera head and separate control unit. The system supports long-distance fibre transmission and simultaneous 4K and HD outputs, making it suitable for robotic and remote production environments.

In addition, the company will showcase its latest monitors, including the HLM-2460WA and HLM-1860WR. These displays are designed for professional broadcast environments, offering high contrast, brightness and flexible monitoring features, including audio metering and customizable on-screen markers.
