Calrec To Showcase Full Broadcast Audio Portfolio

News Image
Calrec is highlighting its latest broadcast audio solutions at NAB Show 2026, emphasising flexibility, efficiency and scalability for modern live production workflows. The company is exhibiting in Central Hall, Booth C6907.

As broadcasters increasingly adopt hybrid and remote production models, Calrec says teams need more choice across their operational framework to fully utilise technical and human resources. Its IP Ecosystem, powered by True Control 2.0, integrates the company’s award-winning IP-native Argo consoles—including the US debut of the 48-fader Argo M—and the Type R modular IP mixing system, networked with an ImPulse IP processing core and the virtualised ImPulseV audio engine.

Argo M: Compact power for IP workflows
Calrec's new 48-fader Argo M console makes its US debut at NAB 2026. Designed for demanding live productions, it delivers up to 356 channels of internal DSP in compact 24-, 36- and 48-fader footprints, with plug-and-play ST2110 and cloud connectivity.

Software updates and feature previews
Calrec will showcase key software updates, including Argo v1.4.24, which delivers operator enhancements, and Type R v3.2, introducing improved Mix Minus outputs, Assist Upstand meter tiles and Syslog support. The company will also preview Argo Offline Assist for offline configuration, expected later in 2026.

Virtualisation with ImPulseV
Calrec's virtualisation strategy allows broadcasters to scale infrastructure and define hybrid workflows across COTS hardware, cloud and distributed resources. ImPulseV, the company’s virtualised audio mixing engine, can be controlled from any Argo or True Control 2.0-enabled console, or via Calrec's Assist web UI.

True Control 2.0: Connecting production ecosystems
True Control 2.0 enables hybrid and remote workflows by linking on-premise infrastructure with virtual and cloud-based resources. It allows users to orchestrate thousands of audio channels, manage multiple consoles or cores simultaneously, and scale production environments without additional hardware.

Argo S and Argo Q: Future-proof consoles
Calrec is also presenting its 48-fader Argo S console with the new v1.4 software update, offering enhanced routing strip functionality, Mix Minus workflow improvements, and DAW control. The 36-fader Argo Q, the company’s flagship console, will be shown with an ImPulse core on a True Control 2.0 network, designed for premium broadcast operations.

Type R: Modular, expandable and flexible
The Type R modular IP mixing system, also controlled by True Control 2.0, supports distributed production, flexible workflows and SMPTE 2110-compliant IP infrastructure. Key features include off-air record, enhanced GPIO talkback, monitor selector follow, Mix Minus bus user labels and a large DSP pack with 32 aux buses.

Calrec's presence at NAB 2026 demonstrates its commitment to helping broadcasters adopt flexible, scalable audio workflows without compromise, combining hardware, virtualisation and software for modern production needs.
