Martin Audio Names Nat Houle As US Product Support Specialist

Martin Audio has appointed Nat Houle as Product Support Specialist, a role created to further accelerate the sales and rollout of Martin Audio and TiMax spatial audio solutions across the United States and Canada.

Houle, a 2025 USITT Rising Star winner for sound design, brings a strong track record in creative sound design alongside deep technical knowledge and a clear commitment to immersive audio.

While studying at the State University of New York at New Paltz, Houle authored the thesis — "Spatialised Theatrical Experiences: Concepts and Discoveries in Object-Based Sound Design" — which directly inspired the launch of NMH Spatial, a widely used, free resource blending dramaturgical perspectives on spatial audio with research-driven scientific analysis.

Houle's aim to encourage sound designers at every level to embrace spatial audio aligns with the expertise and drive she brings to the post.

"Working for a manufacturer has been a dream of mine for several years now, starting with my graduate school experience at the University of California, Irvine, where I focused my thesis on spatial audio modalities," comments Houle. "I am keenly interested in how sound prediction tools relate to spatial audio and how the technology can be further improved and adopted in our industry. I hope to encourage the use of it through my work with Martin and TiMax."

In the position, Houle will collaborate with the US sales team, distributors and dealers to deliver technical support and market insight. Her remit includes designing operationally optimum audio systems, overseeing on-site commissioning for major installations and tours, and running end-user training sessions.

Based in the US, she will work closely with the Martin Audio and TiMax Product Support Groups in the UK. Her primary territory is the US and Canada, with scope to assist projects across LATAM.
