Adlink Launches Server Board And 2U/4U Edge AI Servers

ADLINK Technology Inc. has broadened its edge AI range with four workstation-class systems: the ISB-W890 server board and the AXE-7440GW, AXE-7420GWA, and AXE-7220GW GPU servers.

Built on Intel Xeon 600 processors, the line-up targets compute-heavy demands such as real-time vision, advanced analytics, and large-scale generative AI at the edge, complementing ADLINK’s existing platforms.

As organisations move past pilot projects, the need for server-grade performance at the edge is accelerating, particularly for real-time visual intelligence and on-premises generative AI inference. ADLINK said the new systems support high-end vision processing and analytics—including VLA workloads—suited to medical imaging, robotics, and smart factory AOI, where low latency, accuracy, and reliability are essential.

The ISB-W890 server board, using the CEB form factor, is aimed at system integrators that require extensive I/O and long-life support. It offers seven PCIe slots, including three PCIe x16 Gen5 for multi-GPU scalability, plus multiple M.2 NVMe and SATA III storage options for high-throughput data handling.

ADLINK's new AXE series provides tailored 4U and 2U deployments. The 4U AXE-7440GW is designed for complex GenAI and multimodal AI at the edge, supporting up to four FHFLDW GPU Gen5 x16 cards to deliver the horsepower required for LLMs and other compute-intensive inference.

The 4U short-depth (550mm) AXE-7420GWA targets advanced automation and consolidated edge AI, adding industrial ATX power support to optimise rack density in factory environments and streamline integration of multiple automation workloads.

For space-constrained sites, the 2U short-depth (450mm) AXE-7220GW is a small form factor GPU server supporting two FHFLDW GPU Gen5 x16 cards. It is positioned for high-bandwidth vision tasks and real-time edge inference in tight or remote locations.
