Panasonic Expands KAIROS Ecosystem
Panasonic has announced a series of significant developments to its KAIROS live production platform, strengthening its position within the live events and professional AV markets.
The latest updates include the expansion of the KAIROS Alliance Partners programme to incorporate four leading LED processor manufacturers and the achievement of IPMX certification for key KAIROS systems.
The newly announced LED processor partners are Brompton Technology, Colorlight, Megapixel and Novastar. Their integration into the KAIROS ecosystem is designed to support faster, smarter and more immersive live productions, particularly for LED-driven environments such as live events, touring productions and large-scale installations.
KAIROS is Panasonic's IT/IP-based live video production platform, designed to provide flexible, interoperable and future-ready workflows. By virtualising traditional switcher functions and utilising an innovative CPU/GPU architecture, KAIROS removes many of the limitations associated with legacy SDI-only switchers, including one-to-one input restrictions, enabling more scalable and creative production workflows.
As part of the latest developments, the KAIROS Core 200 and 2000 (AT-KC200 and AT-KC2000) have achieved IPMX certification. This marks an important step towards open, interoperable and future-proof AV-over-IP systems. IPMX supports the transport of video, audio and metadata across standard networks, enabling vendor-agnostic integration as the industry transitions towards fully networked production environments.
The enhancements are particularly relevant to the Rental & Staging sector, where rising audience expectations, tighter production timelines and increasingly complex visual requirements are driving demand for intuitive and scalable systems. KAIROS’ IT/IP-native, GPU-accelerated architecture supports scene-based, resolution-agnostic workflows, allowing any display to be used as a creative canvas for LED stages, corporate events and touring productions.
With unified IT/IP control, dynamic resource allocation and scalable processing, KAIROS is designed to streamline daily operations while maintaining mission-critical reliability. Its open integration philosophy allows seamless operation alongside existing hardware, while its ability to stack resources for large productions or distribute them across multiple simultaneous events offers increased flexibility and efficiency.
The expanded LED processor partnerships further enhance KAIROS' capabilities, with Panasonic working closely with its Alliance Partners to advance integrated, IP-based workflows across the live production ecosystem.
Richard Mead, Chief Executive Officer at Brompton Technology, emphasised the importance of this alignment: "KAIROS' open AVoIP approach mirrors the direction of modern live production. With our Tessera SQ200 supporting SMPTE ST 2110 and IPMX workflows, we're excited to bring resilient, high-performance LED processing to this ecosystem."
Darren Liu, Vice President of Colorlight, highlighted the advanced, scalable capabilities of the partnership: "This collaboration recognises Colorlight’s strength in high-end visual processing. By integrating our LED processor with KAIROS, we’re delivering a seamless workflow from content creation to final display, ensuring flexible, efficient, and future-ready features."
Jeremy Hochman, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Megapixel, noted the wider industry impact: "Panasonic's leadership in building an open ST 2110-based ecosystem is widely respected. We're proud to help deliver the world's first ST 2110-based live production solutions for large screens."
Panasonic will showcase the expanded KAIROS ecosystem, including the new LED processor integrations, at ISE 2026 on stand 3J500, where visitors will be able to see how the platform is redefining live production workflows.
