The Inside Story Announces Senior Management Changes

The Inside Story has announced a series of senior management changes as the company marks its tenth anniversary, with founder Barney Jameson appointed as chief executive officer and Mike Rodel taking on the role of managing director.

Jameson founded The Inside Story in 2016 as a professional AV marketing agency and consultancy. Over the past decade, the company has grown into an international communications specialist serving the professional AV market, while also supporting clients across a range of sectors including electronic security and corporate finance.
As the business has expanded in scope, client base and geographic reach, its international footprint has also grown. In 2025, the agency launched its first overseas subsidiary, The Inside Story Americas. The company said the increased scale and international responsibilities have driven the decision to restructure its management team.

"I'm incredibly proud of what we have built here at The Inside Story," reflected Jameson. "As the company has grown, so has my role, with an international remit working with brands across various industries. As we turn 10, it seems like the right time to pass some of these responsibilities onto the next generation of leadership."

Under the new structure, Jameson will focus on high-level strategy across The Inside Story, The Inside Story Americas and sister company The Outsourcing Agency. Rodel, as managing director, will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of The Inside Story, with a focus on client delivery and team performance.

"I'm grateful to Barney for his support and trust in asking me to lead the day-to-day operations at The Inside Story," noted Rodel. "I am fortunate to be part of an excellent and knowledgeable team who are second to none in this industry. As we move into our second decade, we have the right people in place to keep growing the company while always supporting our clients to become even more successful. I'm excited to start this new position and will lead the company in the true spirit of TIS."

The management team will be attending ISE 2026 in Barcelona, where Jameson, Rodel and the wider Inside Story team will be available to meet with industry partners.
