Manhatten TV Launches New 4K Streaming Device
Manhattan TV has launched a new 4K streaming device designed to bring the Freely platform to any television, allowing viewers to access live and on-demand UK content over broadband without the need for an aerial or satellite dish.
The British TV device specialist has announced the release of the Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely, the free streaming platform backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. The device connects to a home broadband network via Wi-Fi, enabling access to more than 60 live TV channels and over 75,000 hours of on-demand programming from services including BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 and 5.
Powered by the TiVo operating system, the Manhattan Aero also provides access to a wide range of additional streaming services, including Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video, alongside YouTube. Through TiVo+, users can access more than 400 free streaming channels and a large catalogue of on-demand films and TV shows at no extra cost.
By bringing Freely and TiVo OS together in one device, the Aero enables users to search across live and on-demand content from multiple providers in a single interface. The device supports 4K picture quality and voice search functionality, and because it streams entirely over Wi-Fi, it can be used in any room with a wireless connection.
The Manhattan Aero is designed to be simple to set up and easy to use, combining Manhattan’s experience in TV box and recorder manufacturing with Freely's UK-focused streaming platform and TiVo’s operating system. Advanced features include TiVo Voice for hands-free search and navigation.
The launch comes amid growing demand for Freely. Research forecasts that the platform could become the UK's largest TV device platform within the next five years, while YouGov data indicates that more than 70% of Samsung and LG TV users would like Freely included on their next television.
Alex Arbab-Zadeh, COO for Manhattan said: "Freely is a brilliant new platform that delivers Great British Telly over broadband with no monthly bills – but there are lots of TVs out there that don't have it built in. Aero fixes that. Just connect to Wi-Fi and you've got live TV, catch-up and all your favourite streaming apps – a simple, affordable way to upgrade any TV without having to replace it."
Jonathan Thompson, CEO at Everyone TV, said: "From the 2026 FIFA World Cup to another season of Celeb Traitors, this year promises an incredible line up of TV moments for the whole family. We're thrilled to expand Freely with the launch of the Manhattan Aero 4K TV streamer device, available in February. Our research shows that viewers who can’t yet stream Freely are eager to do so, and with the new Manhattan Aero, even more people can enjoy the same Freely experience found on TVs – bringing all their favourite live and on-demand TV together, for free, over Wi-Fi."
The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely will be available from February 2026 priced at £69.99, with stockists including Currys, John Lewis and Amazon.
