TSL To Showcase Hummingbird NDI Control Integration
TSL will use ISE 2026 to preview the addition of NDI control within its Hummingbird suite, bringing NDI into the platform's control, orchestration and monitoring applications and user interfaces.
Developed for hybrid operations, the upgrade enables SDI, SMPTE ST 2110 and NDI workflows to run side by side. With a unified, vendor‑agnostic control layer, TSL Hummingbird is designed to cut operational complexity while keeping established working practices intact.
At the show, attendees can see how Hummingbird strengthens and extends NDI workflows via enhanced interoperability. This includes seamless operation across SDI, ST 2110 and NDI in mixed local on‑premises, remote and cloud environments; freedom to choose preferred vendor technologies without lock‑in; and unified interfacing using Hummingbird’s broad range of hard panels or configurable soft panels as a single control and monitoring surface. The approach spans multiple locations, vendors, technologies and use cases—from classrooms and meeting/conference spaces to broadcast studios, podcast rooms and theatres—and can tie into central apparatus rooms or data centres, with wide‑ranging SNMP, KVM and GPIO integrations also available.
Hummingbird also brings professional broadcast workflow automation to NDI deployments, covering Router Control and Tally, centrally managed room presets, graphics and content insertion workflows, and endpoint management. Users can route NDI via Hummingbird router control panels, or continue using their current panels to switch NDI alongside SDI and ST 2110.
For scale, a single system can centrally manage multiple NDI locations and workflows at facility‑wide or even global levels, while integrating with non‑NDI environments. The development reflects TSL’s wider commitment to interoperability and predictable control as broadcast and professional AV infrastructures evolve.
TSL is offering meeting slots during ISE for those wishing to discuss suitability and roadmap direction. For anyone not attending, online consultation calls with the team are available.
