Luxury Immersion Cinema To Debut At ISE 2026

A group of leading home cinema technology specialists will unveil a new high-end residential theatre concept at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026, promising a new benchmark for luxury home entertainment.

ASCENDO, Barco Residential, StormAudio, PrimeTheater and Technology Integration Partners (TIP) are jointly presenting the Luxury Immersion Cinema at stand 2J500, showcasing what is possible when professional cinema standards are adapted for the home. The demonstration reflects the growing popularity of LED video walls in residential installations and explores how cinema-grade visuals and uncompromising immersive audio can coexist in a luxury environment.

At the centre of the visual system is Barco Residential's Runar LED video wall, designed specifically for home cinema. Runar is scheduled for Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) certification under the latest HDR standards and features a 0.9mm pixel pitch with native DCI 4K resolution (4,096 × 2,160). Built with Micro LED in Package (MIP) technology, the display is engineered for compatibility with premium DCI-HDR content.

"Whether watching consumer content or digital cinema packages (DCPs), ultra-deep black levels and high brightness provide exceptional contrast performance, whilst DCI-P3 coverage and colour precision provide a truly reference cinematic experience," said Bart Devos, Business Development Manager EMEA, Barco Residential.

With a 100,000:1 contrast ratio, 0.005 cd/m² black levels and full DCI-P3 colour coverage, the Runar screen supports DCI-grade HDR at 300 nits and consumer HDR up to 500 nits, enabling seamless playback of both professional cinema and consumer formats in a single residential system.

However, LED walls change the way immersive audio must be deployed, as speakers can no longer be hidden behind the screen. To address this, the Luxury Immersion Cinema features a 14.8.8-channel immersive audio system from ASCENDO, purpose-built for LED cinema environments. The design integrates speakers around the screen to preserve correct front-channel localisation.

"For LED applications, audio must be perceived as coming from the vertical center of the wall without exception," said Geoffrey Heinzel, co-managing partner of ASCENDO. "Our design approach, as always, is to use point source speakers for seat-to-seat performance consistency in multi-seat home theatre environments. Because our speakers are direct-radiating, they are capable of extremely high-performance results."

The system makes its ISE debut with ASCENDO's new THE8 PRO PASSIVE LED WEDGE speakers for the front channels, supported by a range of ASCENDO side, overhead and rear speakers, and eight infrasonic THE28 SUB PRO SQUARED subwoofers driven by dedicated infrasonic amplifiers.

StormAudio provides system processing with its Elite 32 Analog processor and the new Impulsion 8 amplifier, also being unveiled at the show. Using StormAudio's centre shift feature, the processor psychoacoustically realigns dialogue and effects with the on-screen action, compensating for the physical displacement of front speakers caused by solid LED walls.

The processor must work harder to ensure the audience believes the dialogue and action are coming directly from the actors on screen. The theatre room itself has been designed and built by PrimeTheater, which specialises in turnkey, high-performance residential cinemas, taking into account acoustics, sightlines and seating to ensure optimum results, even on a busy exhibition floor.
