TASCAM Sonicview Consoles Gain Wireless Control With Mixing Station App Integration

TASCAM has introduced expanded remote control functionality for its Sonicview digital mixing consoles, with new support for the widely used Mixing Station mobile app.

The update gives audio engineers, musicians and production teams the ability to manage monitor mixes and console settings wirelessly from smartphones and tablets, removing the need to remain stationed at the mixing desk. The upgrade is set to benefit live music events, houses of worship and a range of fast-paced production environments where flexibility and speed are critical.

By enabling mobile control, the integration aims to simplify workflows, accelerate sound checks and give performers greater autonomy over their on-stage audio. The result is a more responsive and efficient setup for both front-of-house engineers and artists.

Support is enabled through the Ember+ protocol, included in Sonicview firmware version 2.2. The update allows multiple devices to connect simultaneously, making it suitable for small to mid-scale productions requiring shared access. Users can adjust volume levels, EQ, auxiliary sends and more, all via personal devices.

Mixing Station app compatibility is available now as part of the latest Sonicview firmware update
(V2.2.3 or later). The app itself is available for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
