Riedel Communications Appoints Director of Live Production Solutions

Riedel Communications has appointed Ulrich Voigt as Director of Live Production Solutions, effective mid-October 2025.

Voigt will assume leadership of the SimplyLive business from Luc Doneux and will be responsible for advancing the integration of the SimplyLive product line within Riedel’s broader live video solutions portfolio. A broadcast industry veteran with 28 years of experience in software-based live production, Voigt will also focus on driving further growth and innovation across the business.

Voigt previously served as Global Head of Product Management and Cloud Transformation at Vizrt, where he was responsible for the strategic direction of software-based broadcast graphics, automation, and live production solutions. As member of the executive management team, he played a key role in the compan''s transformation towards integrated and cloud-based solutions and modern business models. Prior to Vizrt, Voigt was Head of Design at Qvest Media, leading the technological alignment of multi-system solutions for global consulting and systems integration projects. Earlier, he worked as a Senior Lead IT Architect for the Media and Entertainment sector at IBM Global Business Services.

He holds a Diploma in Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) in Communications Engineering from Darmstadt University of Technology. Based in the Frankfurt area, he will report directly to Jan Eveleens.
