BitFire And HBS LLC Announce Partnership
BitFire, a leading provider of software-defined live production and IP transmission solutions, has announced a new partnership with HBS LLC, the U.S. subsidiary of Host Broadcast Services (HBS), a global leader in host broadcasting.
The collaboration aims to deliver innovative, cost-effective production workflows powered by BitFire's cloud production and transport platform.
Through this partnership, BitFire and HBS will work together to enhance the quality and efficiency of live event production for domestic sports leagues and organizations, enabling them to elevate their content while maintaining cost control across live production, non-live workflows, and archiving.
HBS has already begun integrating BitFire's cloud technology into the delivery of live soccer broadcasts in the United States, marking a significant step toward the adoption of cloud-native broadcast workflows.
"We have been working with BitFire for some time to improve the workflows, especially in soccer coverage, which demands a lot from the cloud environment. As such, we are fully confident in the platform," said Jose 'Platao' Rocha, Managing Director of HBS LLC.
Johannes Franken, HBS Digital Director, added: "BitFire complements well our own tools for multifeed generation in the cloud and archiving. We are excited to be working on live cloud production in the U.S. with BitFire."
Andy Hansen, Executive Vice President of BitFire, commented: "This partnership represents a shared commitment to innovation, creativity, and technical excellence. We are combining world-class broadcast expertise and cutting-edge technology to serve clients at the highest level. We look forward to a very productive relationship."
The partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to advancing cloud-based broadcast production, paving the way for more flexible, scalable, and sustainable workflows across the live sports and entertainment sectors.
