Lightware is playing a key role in an expanding number of high-profile integrations through its UBEX platform.

Engineered for uncompromising performance in even the most demanding environments, UBEX is an AV-over-IP solution that operates as a transmitter, receiver, or transceiver, delivering ultra-low latency, uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 video, and outstanding reliability.

From education and live events to immersive exhibitions, the UBEX is becoming the trusted product to deliver large-scale AV experiences. Its powerful solutions have already proven their worth in a variety of projects across the globe, helping to streamline workflow and instil confidence in achieving the very best results.

St. Joseph's College in Brisbane found itself in need of an AV system upgrade when severe weather left the school’s previous infrastructure inoperable. The leading Catholic school - renowned for its sporting tradition – needed a robust, future-ready solution for its sports field. Systems integrator VIDEOPRO selected three UBEX-PRO20 units to deliver low-latency and unaltered 4K video over a 10 Gb fiber network, ensuring flawless real-time capture, broadcast, and stadium display. The result is a streamlined system that gives fans crystal-clear, uninterrupted visuals during every event, with the scalability to expand effortlessly with future needs.

When it comes to delivering world-class live entertainment, Lightware’s UBEX is the product of choice for video technology company 80six. While working on high-profile UK events such as Goodwood Festival, BBC Radio 2 in the Park and Manchester Pride – where timing, quality and reliability are non-negotiable – 80six employs Lightware's UBEX to ensure robust redundancy and dependability. Uncompressed, pixel-perfect transmissions ensure audiences experience content exactly as intended, whilst UBEX's range of failover features gives producers the confidence to create sophisticated experiences without technical disruption. The entire network setup can be made in less than a day, making it ideal for quick turnarounds. "Being able to trust our equipment is a key factor for us and Lightware’s range has consistently proven its reliability," explained Chris Isaacson, Technical Manager at 80six.

The Mirror Mirror Art Experience in Adelaide was a five-week immersive installation inviting the public to step into a multi-sensory world of light and visuals. Technology supplier Novatech deployed 18 UBEX-PRO20 units to distribute uncompressed 4K signals seamlessly across six distinct zones, each featuring a mix of LED screens, projection, and interactive lighting. “UBEX has changed the game in the large-scale signal delivery for our larger projects,” says Leko Novkovic, Managing Director of Novatech. With UBEX at its core, every element of the exhibition ran in perfect sync, ensuring uninterrupted, flawless visuals that fully immersed visitors across the five-week-long event. "UBEX was the best choice for 100% reliable and versatile delivery of critical program and control content/signals for a long-running activation," Novkovic added.

Lightroom in London, home to immersive artist-led exhibitions, has also benefited from Lightware’s UBEX technology. Launching with David Hockney’s Bigger & Closer exhibition, the venue's challenge was ensuring the massive content, distributed across the vast four-storey canvas, looked sharp and played back smoothly. 74 UBEX PRO20 units enabled seamless reproduction over a 10 Gb network, transporting visitors into Hockney’s world without distortion or interruption.
