swXtch.io To Display New Innovations At IBC2025

News Image
swXtch.io returns to IBC this week with several new innovations that strengthen one of its core messages for the media and entertainment industry: helping broadcasters establish one big network to manage, monitor and maintain.

With its award-winning and globally deployed cloudSwXtch virtual overlay solution as the anchor, the company will demonstrate the power of its new groundSwXtch solution for on-prem networking infrastructure.

Visitors to the Bridge Technologies booth (1.A71) can see the two pure software solutions (cloudSwXtch and groundSwXtch) running separately and in unison, the latter of which unifies live production workflows and more across cloud and ground operations.

But swXtch.io has one more surprise for IBC visitors that have an interest in AI – a preview of the world's first AI-Native network and first live video processing, from ground to cloud, by AI on Azure. That demo, which IBC visitors can find on the V-Nova stand in Hall 14 (14.A55), is a glimpse of what's next from the networking experts at swXtch.io.

"With cloudSwXtch, we developed a network that improves AI," said Brent Yates, CEO, swXtch.io. "With our forthcoming AI-Native networking innovation, we enable AI to improve the network. AI will have agency within cloudSwXtch and groundSwXtch networks, without violating security or reliability concerns. Instead of only monitoring and reporting results, AI will act when its analysis decides that optimisation or troubleshooting is required to run more efficiently."

Yates added that in addition to optimising traffic flow and predicting performance flaws, users will be able to deploy new AI pipelines in minutes without adding proxy servers or complicated network routers. A simplified AI pipeline leads to lowered deployment and operational costs.

swXtch.io will otherwise show its complete range of solutions available today, all supported through swXtch.io's wXckdEye web-based monitoring and configuration tool to provide customers with complete visibility and control of their networks:

cloudSwXtch: The intelligent media network for all public clouds that helps broadcasters extend on-prem systems to the cloud. Deployed as a software solution within a virtual network or cloud tenant, cloudSwXtch lets users add high-performance networking and broadcast-quality features such as ST 2110, JPEG-XS, Dash 7x, multicast, protocol fanout and more to cloud, edge or virtualized applications without software code changes. cloudSwXtch is also widely used for high-performance networking applications in the financial services, government and healthcare markets.

groundSwXtch: Debuting at IBC, groundSwXtch brings software-defined multicast capabilities, SDI to IP, Dash 7X and more to physical on-prem environments. Analogous to the groundbreaking cloudSwXtch design, groundSwXtch operates as a software packet switch that is deployable on a customer’s servers or VM infrastructure at any location.

SRT-X Gateway: Also new for IBC, SRT-X Gateway leverages the company's networking expertise to enable the highest stream density for a software SRT gateway on the market. The pure software solution applies multicast technology to SRT transport to enable hundreds of broadcast-quality compressed video workflows through a single cloudSwXtch network.

IBC2025 runs Friday through Monday at the RAI Amsterdam.
