MultiDyne Provides HD Fiber Links For Super Bowl XLII

MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems, a leading provider of fiber optics for the transport of video and audio for Broadcast & Pro A/V applications, announced today its participations and support for Super Bowl XLII.
MultiDyne's integration and event rental partner, CP Communications, provided the MultiDyne HD-1500 HD-SD1 Fiber Links for the Super Bowl XLII halftime show.
FOX Sports transport of HD-SDI signals via fiber between the halftime production trucks and FOX Network trucks. The on-air and HD camera feeds of the halftime show were sent via the MultiDyne HD-1500 HD-DSI fiber link, as well as the signals from the halftime production truck back into the stadium. HD-1500 units were also used to light up the halftime LED Curtains and the House Jumbotrons in the stadium.
Michael Mason, President of CP Communications, said: "MultiDyne has cost-effective and highly-reliable solutions for critical applications such as the Super Bowl. MultiDyne's HD-1500 was the best choice for the job at hand.
Frank Jachetta, Senior Vice President of MultiDyne said: "It was a pleasure, once again, to work with our valued partner, CP, on a high-profile project of this type."
The HD-1500 Series of 5 to 1.485 Gb/s Serial Digital Video Fiber Optic Transport Link is designed to ease the engineering and financial difficulties associated with the migration to Digital and High Definition Television.
The HD-1500 line provides an economical solution for the fiber optic transport and distribution of virtually any digital signal from 5 Mb/s to 1.5Gb/s.
The supported standards include SMPTE 292M 1.485 Gb/s, SMPTE 259M with operation from 143 Mb/s - 360 mB/S, SMPTE 310M 19.4 Mb/s, M2S or DVB-ASI 270 Mb/s, SMPTE 344M 540Mb/s and SMPTE 305M SDTi rates.
The systems will transparently pass any embedded audio and data. The audio and data must be embedded and extracted separately.
The HD-1500 series is available in compact stand-alone and rack-mount packages making it ideal for applications including field remotes, sporting events, ENG/SNG, production and in-plant signal distribution.
The compact unit offers an economical solution for the distribution of dignal signals from 5Mb/s TO 1.5Gb/s up to 20KM over Singlemode or more than 300M over Multimode fiber optic cables.
