FOX News Chooses MultiDyne HD Fiber Transport Links

MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems, a provider of fiber optics for the transport of video and audio for broadcast & pro A/V applications, has announced that FOX News in New York has purchased 50 MultiDyne HD-1500 HD-SDI Fiber Links.
Bob McAlpine, Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development, said: "Our HD fiber transport products provide the future-proof, cost-effective design needed to meet the changing broadcast requirements of FOX News. The HD-1500 provides looping, equalised and reclocked inputs, dual outputs and MultiDyne's unprecedented, standard 7-year warranty."
The HD-1500 series OF 5 TO 1.485 Gb/s Serial Digital Video Fiber Optic Transport Link is designed to ease the engineering and financial difficulties associated with the migration to Digital and High Definition Television. The HD-1500 line provides an economical solution for the fiber optic transport and distribution of virtually any digital signal from 5 Mb/s TO 1.5 Gb/s. Supported standards include SMPTE 292M 1.485 Gb/s, SMPTE 259M, with operation from 143 Mb/s - 360Mb/s, SMPTE 310M 19.4Mb/s, M2S or DVB-ASI 270Mb/s, SMPTE 344M 540Mb/s and SMPTE 305M SDTi rates. The systems will transparently pass any embedded audio and data; audio and data must be embedded and extracted separately.
The HD-1500 series is available in compact stand-alone and rack-mount packages making it ideal for applications including field remotes, sporting events, ENG/SNG, production and in-plant signal distribution. The compact unit offers an economical solution for the distribution of digital signals from 5Mb/s to 1.5Gb/s up to 20KM over Singlemode or more than 300M over Multimode fiber optic cables.
