SportsEngine Play Agrees To A Multi-Year Extension With Pixellot

SportsEngine Play, the first-of-its-kind streaming service for youth sports, has agreed to a multi-year extension with AI-automated sports content leader, Pixellot, accelerating the NBC streamer's efforts to activate game streaming from youth sports facilities across the U.S.

By extending its partnership with Pixellot, which was established in 2022, SportsEngine Play will continue to help sports facilities of all sizes reduce their financial barriers of entry to streaming by offering a live and on-demand solution at no cost. The collaboration between the leader in youth and amateur sports technology and the pioneer in AI-automated sports production continues to receive industry recognition, including winning the 'Partnership of the Year' award at the 2025 Sports Technology Awards in London, and selected as finalist for 'Best Technology Collaboration' by Sports Business Journal's annual Sports Business Awards: Tech.

With the growing demand for high-quality sports content, Pixellot's market-leading AI-powered content solutions offer automated live coverage of every game, capturing every angle of the court, field or ice and following the flow of play with precision. Pixellot’s proprietary AI includes dedicated algorithms for each sport, ensuring optimal coverage and intelligent tracking tailored to the unique dynamics of basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, hockey, and more. The video is seamlessly integrated with the SportsEngine Play streaming solution to provide unparalleled access to sports venue games.

"SportsEngine Play is transforming how youth sports are experienced, and our partnership has been a key driver to help families of young athletes capture their most important moments at some of the top facilities in the country," said David Shapiro, President, North America at Pixellot. "We've already installed our technology on hundreds of surfaces, and the enthusiasm from athletes, families, and sports facility operators has been incredible. Our combined solution with SportsEngine Play is truly a win-win as it drives value to the athletes and teams, while also helping facilities improve their customer experience."

As part of SportsEngine's leading youth sports technology brands, SportsEngine Play launched in October 2023 as the first-of-its-kind subscription streaming service for amateur sports, connecting millions of families and fans with events, games and tournaments featuring young athletes. The platform serves a constantly growing list of more than 10,000 facilities, including preeminent competition venues like LakePoint Sports, Arizona Athletic Grounds (AAG), Homefield, and Emerald Acres Sports Connection.

Also serving sports organisations, tournaments, and teams, the SportsEngine Play platform gives these organisations and individuals, including sports families, the ability to capture and stream video of sports events on just about any device – from Pixellot's sophisticated AI cameras mounted at sporting venues to personal smartphones, and features editing tools for reel and highlight creation. SportsEngine Play also is constantly adding new competitive content through the acquisition of streaming rights to elite amateur sports that will entertain and inspire.

In addition to live and on-demand event streaming, SportsEngine Play's All Access subscription tier offers a growing library of video that provides a comprehensive look at individual sports, from rules and equipment to training and skills to mental health, fitness and more. The plan features exclusive instructional videos from world-class athletes like Michael Phelps, Larry Fitzgerald, Shaun White, Kerri Walsh Jennings, and others, who offer video collections featuring tips and techniques highlighting their training regimens, as well insight on leadership and mental health.
