DGP DIGITAL BECOME UK SUBLICENSEES OF CVC

DGP Digital, a digital post-production and new media facility based in Soho, London, have announced that they have become the sole UK sub licensees of California Video Centre (CVC).
CVC is a division of Time Warner Entertainment Company, specialising in authoring and encoding services for DVD and Video On Demand (VOD).
As sub licensees, DGP Digital are the only UK facility with access to the Toshiba encoding and authoring system, since it is currently available exclusively to CVC affiliates.
The Toshiba system is arguably the most robust, fully featured and well-supported equipment available for DVD compression and authoring, capable of producing more stable discs, more quickly than any other authoring system.
DGP Digital sent two authors, two Quality Controllers and three producers to CVC’s LA headquarters for extensive training on the system. Five Toshiba engineers from Japan installed the specialist equipment in DGP Digital’s Greek Street facility in early July, and the facility became fully operational on August 6 2001. (CD)
