Megahertz delivers vehicle BBC Bangor

Megahertz Broadcast Systems has successfully delivered a new Type C Radio Vehicle to BBC Bangor, just three months after being awarded the contract for its design and integration.
Based on an LWB Mercedes Sprinter, the new radio vehicle has been built to a very high acoustic specification and is fitted with a custom, split, low noise air-conditioning unit.
The audio system is based on a Yamaha DM2000 96-channel Digital Audio Mixer together with Pro-tools editing and various other processors and recorders.
It replaces BBC Bangor’s previous Radio Vehicle, which was also designed and supplied by Megahertz seventeen years ago.
Frances Jarvis, Commercial Director for Megahertz Broadcast Systems said: “We are always delighted to work with the BBC and are very proud that we can offer them a professional and quality service each time. Returning contracts are always very flattering and we hope that this new vehicle proves to be as successful as its predecessor.”
Like its predecessor, the new vehicle will cover local and national radio programmes in the North Wales area.
