PlayBox Neo is to exhibit its newly expanded range of smart media playout solutions on stand 5L2-2 at Broadcast Asia 2024, May 29-31. Making their APAC market debut will be the latest versions of AirBox Neo-20, Capture Suite, Channel-in-a-Box, Media Gateway and Cloud2TV.

"Media channel managers are looking for high efficiency, scalability, creative versatility and reliability," commented Desmon Goh, Managing Director of PlayBox Neo APAC. "Workflow efficiency is achieved through our solutions which enable practically every step from ingest to transmission to be controlled from a single desktop."

"Our systems allow easy expansion from a single terrestrial, satellite or online channel up to a global network transmitting across multiple time zones," added Iulian Ionescu, PlayBox Neo Regional Sales Director. "They support any desired level of scheduled-based automation up to and including 24/7 hands-off playout. Playlist alterations as well as live news stories are easy to accommodate. Based on 24 years of refinement, PlayBox Neo systems are highly stable and reliable."

AirBox Neo-20 provides automated content streaming and broadcast playout for any kind of TV channel: cloud-based, satellite, cable head-ends, over-the-air broadcast, corporate TV, internet-based TV, etc. New features include a graphic mixer with 4K-UHD optimization, video resize capability, separate fade transition for every logo preset implementation, plus full 1:1 mirror mode.

Media Gateway is a fully software-based router and encoder offering savings in capital outlay, space and maintenance. Latest enhancements include support for 1:1 aspect ratio 3840 x 3840 resolution 25 to 60 fps 1:1 video display plus audio visualization.

Capture Suite is a multi-channel multi-server UHD/HD/SD live ingest solution, now expanded to include support for the XMP file format to allow close integration with Adobe Premiere video editing software.

Channel-in-a-Box is a complete turnkey broadcast television playout server suite occupying just 1 U of rack space. Designed for single channel or multiple channel HD or UHD operation, it includes playout automation, scheduling, interactive CG and graphics, content ingest and live delivery.

All four products also gain an SMPTE ST 2110 input/output interface allowing IP-based content capture and playback connectivity over any distance.

Cloud2TV is based on the concept of virtual channel playout and is totally software-centric. Its processing platform and cloud-native services offer television channel managers operational simplicity, efficiency and agility. Among latest-generation refinements are a new implementation of advanced search and custom CSV database import.
