APTN Entertainment expands Asian coverage

APTN's Entertainment service will be enhanced from July with the addition of a dedicated entertainment producer in Hong Kong.
The new producer, Tony Liao, is a highly experienced video journalist who has worked in entertainment and news in the region for more than 10 years.
His role will be to provide in-depth coverage of the thriving regional entertainment industry. Liao will be based in Hong Kong, taking advantage of its position as a focal point for regional and international stars and companies involved in film, music and fashion.
Christopher O'Hearn, Head of Content Development at APTN, said: "We now have dedicated entertainment people in New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong, in addition to our London base. It means our clients can expect improvement to a service which is already the world's leading provider of entertainment news.
"We know there is both worldwide and regional interest in entertainment from Asia, and that our clients in Asia appreciate our coverage of international entertainment stories. Having a person on the spot will help to complete the picture."
APTN's Entertainment service also draws on the company's worldwide network of bureaus, and they will continue to contribute coverage.
Entertainment Daily News is delivered via 17 bulletins a week and offers clients the latest in film, fashion, music, arts, and celebrity news plus exclusive features and interviews. The service is used by leading entertainment shows in the US, UK, Germany, China, Japan, and dozens of other countries.
