Biamp Announced As Title Sponsor For PDX Jazz Festival
Biamp has been announced as the title sponsor for the 19th annual PDX Jazz Festival, 17 - 26 February.
The nine-day festival, held in venues throughout Portland, will welcome to the stage artists who are driving the evolution of jazz alongside Grammy® Award-winning masters. The music begins with a special solo piano performance by 2020 Grammy winner Brad Mehldau.
Opening weekend shows set the tone for the coming musical journey. Attendees will enjoy music featuring NEA Jazz Master Ron Carter, Diane Schuur, guitarist Marc Ribot, Carlos Niño and Friends featuring Nate Mercereau and Surya Botofasina, Makaya McCraven, the R&B psychedelia jazz of MNDSGN, Gary Bartz, Flor de Toloache the Grammy-winning all-female Mariachi band, and more.
"The PDX Jazz Festival is a great example of extraordinary real-world AV experiences that truly connect us as a community," said Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Biamp. "For years we've sponsored this event as part of our dedication to celebrating organizations and events that demonstrate our shared passion for AV. We are excited to once again experience a diverse range of exceptional jazz performances."
The celebration of live jazz and its evolution is the heart of the PDX Jazz mission. The 2022 PDX Jazz Festival embraces a slate of progressive jazz artists connecting the music across multiple generations.
