ZHIYUN, specialist in gimbals and stabilisers for cameras and smartphones, has announced the launch of the SM5 Challenge; a competition that invites filmmakers to shoot a short film to win part of a $40,000 US dollar prize pot.

The winner of the top prize, the filmmakers' choice award, will receive $10,000 plus a selection of filmmaking products including ZHIYUN gimbals. Additional prizes of $3,000 plus products will be awarded to each of the winners of the five categories.

The competition closes on 20 January 2022, with the winners announced on 27 January 2022. The judging panel includes: ZHIYUN, Insta360, Artlist, Artgrid, Motion Array, NANLITE, SmallRig and ESRgear.
