Broadcast Production Show announces major investment in acquisition

The organisers of The Broadcast Production Show have announced a brand new line up to ensure major acquisition content at the 2004 event.
Leading this will be a new feature for this year’s show – The Acquisition Demonstration Area. The area, run by Mitcorp, will offer hands-on demonstrations of cameras and associated equipment and talks from industry experts covering technology and techniques. The set will be constructed in the style of a Japanese kitchen with a sushi chef and food conveyor belt and will fully test the capabilities of the equipment with a range of colours, textures and movement. Visitors will be able to test and compare the latest in acquisition technology, the majority of which will have been launched at NAB.
Mitcorp will also unveil at The Broadcast Production Show a world first in terms of stand design, constructed completely out of a much sought after piece of equipment and weighing in at two tons. The stand will display cameras from Sony and Panasonic covering DV through to HD, including XDCAM, along with supporting products and accessories. For those interested in editing and finishing, the stand will have systems from Apple and Avid available for demonstration. Distribution products will include Thomson’s iVDR, Sonic Solutions DVD Authoring, Omneon Video Networks and a broad range of VTR’s.
