Maxtor and ALPS establish long-term supply and technology agreement
Maxtor Corporation and ALPS Electric have entered into a long-term strategic supply and technology agreement.
The agreement encompasses terms for technology collaboration as well as business commitments.
“ALPS has been a significant contributor to Maxtor’s supply chain for many years, and we are very pleased to broaden our strategic relationship with this important technology partner,” said Paul Tufano, president and chief executive officer of Maxtor. “This agreement strengthens Maxtor’s access to critical technologies today and in the future. We believe that together we can achieve significant synergies in terms of cost savings, efficiencies and timely introduction of new products that will enhance our competitive position.”
