Ross Video Appoints New In-house General Counsel

Ross Video has announced that Mary Jean McFall has been appointed as new in-house General Counsel.

Mary Jean will be based at the company's Ottawa campus, with responsibility for all corporate and commercial legal activities including coordination with external legal counsel globally.

A graduate of Harvard University and the University of Toronto, Mary Jean brings over twenty years of legal experience to Ross Video as well as her background as an active longtime community volunteer. She is already extremely familiar with Ross Video, having guided Ross through several of its recent acquisitions in her previous role as a Partner with a leading Eastern Ontario law firm.

Commenting on her appointment, David Ross, CEO, reflects on the growth of the company and the increasing need for in-house counsel.

He continued: "Ross Video's growth over the last twenty-eight years has been very well documented, and a big part of that has been down to our acquisitions. Mary Jean has been highly influential in helping us navigate our way through these deals, as well as the corporate and contractual work that is part of our business. Given that our plans for the next twenty-eight years are no less ambitious, the time is absolutely right for us to appoint an in-house counsel and Mary Jean is a natural choice."

For her part, Mary Jean highlights the dynamic nature of the Ross brand as a key factor in her move.
