Boris Johnson & Jeremy Hunt To Face Off In ITV Debate
ITV is set to televise an exclusive live debate between Prime Minister candidates Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt as the campaign to become the UK's new head of government heats up.
'Britain's Next Prime Minister: The ITV Debate' will take place at 8pm tomorrow, 09 July, on ITV in front of a studio audience in the North West of England.
Julie Etchingham, the experienced host of ITV's Leaders Debates in 2015 and 2017, will moderate the debate on the questions between the two candidates.
Michael Jermey, ITV's Director of News and Current Affairs said: "ITV has a strong track record broadcasting important political debate programmes, and we are pleased to be hosting what is the biggest political TV event of the year so far, a live televised debate between Jeremy Hunt and Boris Johnson, one of whom will lead this country in just over two weeks' time."
The final votes from Conservative Party members will be accepted on Sunday 21 July, with the new prime minister declared on Monday 22 July.
