Studio Rec purchases two eQs for commercials production

Studio Rec Co. Ltd, one of the leading facilities houses in Northern Japan, has chosen two Quantel eQ Resolution Co-existent HD editing systems to be the fulcrum of its highly successful commercials post production operations as it expands its business into HD production.
Studio Rec is based in the Fukushima prefecture, 200 kilometres north of Tokyo on Honshu island. With its own studio facilities as well as two audio and four video editing suites, Studio Rec offers its clients a complete start-to-finish production service. Studio Rec has won many awards for its commercials work over the years, much of which has been produced on its Quantel Editbox and Hal systems, which will continue in service alongside the eQs.
Studio Rec Managing Director, Mr Hiroshi Saito, sees the eQs as a natural step forward. He said: “The eQ handles HD with incredible speed and ease,” he says. “We produce a lot of commercials at Studio Rec, and the eQs will enable us to expand our commercials business by allowing us to do more work, more quickly and more creatively.”
