ITV Announces New Documentary On The Duchess Of Cornwall
ITV has announced a brand new documentary focusing on The Duchess of Cornwall titled 'The Real Camilla: HRH The Duchess of Cornwall'.
The documentary will be a one our special produced by Spun Gold TV and directed by award winning director Jane Treays.
It represents the first full profile documentary with access to the Duchess. The film includes scenes shot in Clarence House decorating the royal Christmas tree and welcoming pensioners for tea, rainy walks in Scotland with her Jack Russell terriers and dancing to Elvis tracks with The Prince of Wales. Viewers will also see Camilla at work – behind the scenes of a frenetic tour of Italy and in the UK supporting the causes closest to her heart.
The film was commissioned for ITV by Jo Clinton-Davis, Controller of Factual and Sue Murphy, Head of Factual Entertainment.
Jo Clinton-Davis said: "With candid interviews with the Duchess and HRH Prince Charles, family, friends and the people who know her best, The Real Camilla provides a unique insight into the life, relationships and work of the Duchess of Cornwall."
The producer is Charles Clay, and executive producers are Juliet Rice and Nick Bullen. It will air on ITV this spring and is being distributed by all3media international.
Spun Gold has previously produced critically acclaimed, award-winning content based on exclusive access to the Royal Family including BAFTA winning 'The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebration', 'When Ant & Dec Met the Prince', and 'Prince Phillip at 90'.
