Argosy Powers Up For BVE 2018

News Image
Argosy has announced it will focus on power at BVE 2018, Stand G43. The company will be showcase power distribution and active power management equipment from a range of vendors, alongside its other infrastructure product lines.

On display at BVE will be passive and active power management systems from Argosy, ATEN, dB Broadcast, IPE and TSL Products. The range of equipment available, from standard outlets to intelligent, monitored power delivery, ensures a solution for any system engineer, regardless of the performance required. Power management units are available in vertical as well as horizontal formats, to maximise the use of rack space, and Argosy can custom-build power distribution units and systems to meet specific needs.

Argosy is the exclusive European distributor of the EMU line of power distribution from IPE. These include an internet connection, allowing engineers to be able to check, manage and restart systems from any location. Its sensor outputs provide constant feedback on the health status of the rack.

The ATEN PDU range offers accurate power consumption measurement by bank or outlet. The eco Sensors software has been developed to work with ATEN's new generation of PE series green energy PDUs to increase the efficiency of data center power usage.

InSite remote management software from TSL Products provides facilities with monitoring, reporting and alarms on power consumption and environmental conditions. Its web interface can even send SMS or email alerts to engineers.

The Cardinal range of mains distribution units from dB Broadcast has the ability to feed up to 12 outputs from a single source or redundant power feeds. It provides alarms via SNMP as well as email, and also provides optional temperature sensing.

Among the other highlights of the Argosy display is a KVM solution capable of supporting visually lossless 4K Ultra HD, over a copper gigabit ethernet network. Developed by ATEN, it allows the hardware for a complete facility to be installed in a central machine room, with the control surfaces and monitors connected over the existing network fabric.

Experts from Argosy will also be on hand to discuss infrastructure requirements from the right cable for IP connectivity to complete design and build projects, such as the recent VR installations in Dubai Mall.

Daniel Hinton, Regional Manager for Europe at Argosy, said: "Power management in a broadcast installation is about much more than just ensuring there are enough sockets. Today systems need to be monitored, perhaps even remotely. Equipment should be powered up in an ordered way, and many installations will insist on redundant power sources. Because we offer the best equipment from multiple vendors – including our own design – we can ensure our customers get the solution that is right for them."
