London Welcomes New Creative Workspace

News Image
Details have been released regarding a new dedicated co-working creative space for the digital, TV, post production and wider creative industries.

Cherryduck Studios, formerly known as Tower Bridge Studios, has shared details of 'The Nest' – a new £1.7 million architect-designed creative hub. The 8,000sq ft area workspace, arranged over two floors, aims to bring together London's creative professionals and small companies in TV production and post to work under one roof, with the aim of fostering collaboration between complimentary small businesses in the wider creative sectors.

The development includes a 24-hour full-service post production facility of four private edit/ grading suites, a voiceover sound studio and gallery, screening rooms and communal space for up to 50 individuals.

Facilities include a manned reception, dedicated desks, touchdown spaces, formal meeting rooms and bookable diner-style meeting booths equipped with presentation monitors, a café bar, chill-out areas, private phone booths, bike storage, a pool table, lockable storage, printing facilities and high speed, secure internet.

Desk space is available for individuals on a monthly rental basis and includes all utilities, business rates and wifi.

Each private editing/ grading suite features a choice of HP Z840 2x12 core processors, 64GB RAM, 8GB GPU or Apple iMacPro with 10Gb connection to GBLabs HyperSpace allowing for 4K editing and grading; full Adobe Creative Cloud suite; DaVinci Resolve system with Mini panel; 2 x Eizo EV2750 and 1 x Eizo CG248 4k reference monitor, with a separate 49” LG 4k TV for client viewing.

Cherryduck Studios, alongside New Media Research (NMR), collaborated to create a bespoke server system dedicated to The Nest's edit suites. The system utilises GB Labs' Space, Hyperspace, Echo and Mini Vault LTO technology, while seven new 5k 27” iMac Pro machines will also be installed for hire in workspace areas.

James Vellacott, CEO, Cherryduck Studios, said: "With the surge in demand for digital content, the explosion in the number of new TV production companies, London's wealth of young creative post production talent and the ever-growing need to collaborate with other creative sectors, we feel The Nest will prove to be a popular high-quality workspace hub just around the corner from Shoreditch."
