Media 100 announce significantly reduced pricing for 844/X

Media 100 have halved the price of their flagship 844/Xe real-time editing-compositing system, 844/Xi system, and announced a dramatic price reduction for their XBLUR advanced visual effects option for both 844/X configurations.
The price reductions are designed to attract the company's existing customer base, numbering in the thousands, as well as other traditional editing systems users, to move up to the award-winning system's advanced editing and real-time visual effects processing using unlimited layers.
"Our strategy is to put 844/X in the same price range where for ten years we have sold to tens of thousands of editing professionals," said Mike Savello, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Media 100.
"We believe our new lower prices, along with our largest-ever software expansion coming in January, will motivate many more professional users to give up waiting and add 844/X to their creative arsenal," concluded Savello.
Under the new prices the 844/Xi which was £16,495 is now £7,095, the 844/Xe previously £29,595 is now £14,195 and XBLURwhich was £6,895 is now £4,795.
