RØDE Releases The VideoMic Pro+
RØDE has added to its portfolio of on-camera microphones with the VideoMic Pro+, offering a number of new features to videographers and filmmakers.
The features include an automatic power function to automatically switch the microphone off when unplugged from the camera, built-in battery door for quick and easy changing of batteries, and three power options – LB-1 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, 2 x AA batteries or Micro USB. RØDE has also introduced new digital switching options including a 2-stage high pass filter, a 3-stage Gain control, a high frequency boost and a safety channel to prevent clipping when unexpected spikes occur.
Damien Wilson, RØDE and Freedman Group CEO, said: "The VideoMic Pro+ is a new benchmark in on-camera microphones. We have listened to our customers and are delivering the microphone they've asked for, with features such as the Built-in Battery Door, Automatic Power Function and a Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery, included in the box."
The VideoMic Pro+ has a RRP of £259/€279 (including VAT) and is available now.
