Feature Film Development Internship scheme completed

Tim Bevan of Working Title Films, and one of FT2's new patrons, has presented certificates to six interns who have completed the pilot Feature Film Development Internship scheme.
This training programme is managed by FT2 and supported by the Lottery through the UK Film Council's Training Fund. The interns have all had attachments in development in two feature film production companies and have attended short course development training run by Draft Zero.
"It has been a fantastic opportunity and a fantastic year, " said development intern Elisabeth Pinto. "To be able to grow into development in such a supportive way is invaluable."
The participating companies have also welcomed this pilot initiative. Jo Rogers of Fragile Films said: "Training initiatives like this one are tremendously valuable in an industry which lacks formal development tuition.
"I would strongly recommend this for both interns and companies: the former get to grips with every aspect of development with guidance and supervision, the companies benefit from an intelligent and committed trainee. The more each party puts in, the more they get out of this. I'd like to see it continue."
