Outlander To Air On More4
More4 has acquired the drama series Outlander from Sony Pictures Television.
An adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's books, the first series of the time-travel drama will air on More4 later this month. Outlander follows the story of Claire Randall (played by Caitriona Balfe), who is a married WWII combat nurse from 1945 who falls back in time to 1743 where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world and her life is threatened. When she is forced to marry Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, a passionate relationship is ignited that divides Claire's heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
Outlander stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan and Tobias Menzies. Ronald D. Moore, Jim Kohlberg, and Andy Harries serve as executive producers of Outlander, which is produced by Tall Ship Productions, Story Mining & Supply Company and Left Bank Pictures in association with Sony Pictures Television.
