JVC To Demo Latest Monitors At MPS

News Image
On show at the Media Production Show this month are the latest monitor ranges from JVC Professional. Now available in the market, the latest models offer a class-leading combination of price/performance for studio and production applications.

The new DT-V range of professional monitor deliver accurate reproduction of colour and HD image quality required for broadcast applications. The two top models in the range, the 17" DT-V17G25 and 24" DT-V24G2, are each equipped with a 10-bit IPS LCD panel, which surpasses the EBU Class 2 requirements in terms of colour space, gamma and gradation. The two most critical factors, gamma and grey gradation, have also been improved over previous models to meet the demands of studio and professional application requirements.

The monitors have an extremely wide viewing angle, with excellent chromatic aberration properties, and with 10-bit processing offering improved grey shades and gradation. They feature an integrated waveform monitor, vectorscope and histogram, where you can display values for colour saturation, brightness and input signals.

The other two models in the range, the DT-V17G2 and DT-V21G2, also have these professional features, including 10-bit signal processing, and with an LCD panel with 8-bit colour depth. In addition to regular HD-SDI support, the monitors have a 3G HD-SDI interface to enable 1080p (non-compressed digital video data) with a data rate of up to 3Gb/s transfer.

As a further extension of the monitor portfolio, JVC Professional are now offering the DT-X series of monitors with new small panel sizes, ideal for use on-camera, or as control monitors in a system rack. All monitors are full HD resolution, are very robust and have a wide range of accessories available.

The monitors support 3G HD-SDI and input signals up to 2048x1080 50/60P. The individual models, in 5", 7" and 9" sizes, DT-X53 / X73 / X92, are equipped with waveform, vectorscope and histogram measurement tools, and with a variety of HD-SDI and HDMI video inputs according to model. Also introduced as part of the range is the DT-X93Hx2, which is a dual 9" rack-mounted model ideal for image control in playout or OB van applications.

The new monitor line-up adds to JVC Professional's range of production solutions, including ENG and cine-style camcorders, studio cameras and recording device. Also recently introduced is JVC Professional's new content hosting and management platform, JVCVIDEOCLOUD, an online video and live streaming platform. Ideal for small businesses and creative individuals, it offers a simple, powerful content management system for live video or VoD, skinnable players, website builder tools and rich performance analysis tools.

JVC VIDEOCLOUD enables you to stream live from JVC's range of streaming camcorders, along with encoders from other manufacturers, and it is also possible to stream directly from the Streamstar range of multi-camera production tools.

Further information on the new monitor models, and JVC's full range of professional video solutions, is available at www.jvcpro.co.uk.
