Timeline To Deliver BBC's Christmas Day Festival Eucharist 2016
Timeline Television will work with BBC Religion and Ethics on the live transmission of the Christmas Day Festival Eucharist on Christmas Morning from Bristol Cathedral.
Timeline's outside broadcast truck, UHD1, will be in Bristol for three days of rigging and rehearsals culminating in the live HD broadcast on Christmas Day morning.
The facilities include six Sony UHD cameras on mobile mounts to capture the ceremony and atmosphere of the service. Its 4K facilities will ensure crisp picture quality for the HD broadcast. The unit's Calrec sound desk along with an array of music quality microphones will capture the music and ambience of the cathedral.
The live HD transmission will be handled by Timeline's brand new 4K UHD uplink truck, RF1, the latest addition to Timeline's fleet. It was selected for its compact footprint to fit into the cathedral quarters. The 7.5 tonne outside broadcast truck is capable of delivering multiple UHD and HD uplinks.
The BBC Christmas Day Service will be live on BBC One on Sunday 25th December at 10.00am.
