Ciprico and Pinnacle Systems announce tailored storage

PINNACLE Systems have selected a tailored version of Ciprico’s FibreSTORE RAID solution as the storage component for their networked video server solutions, including the MediaStream family of broadcast servers.
In applications utilising the FibreSTORE RAID, digital media is always accessible to everyone on the network and can be quickly annotated, edited, shared, or played to air, without compromising quality or mission-critical reliability.
Pinnacle Systems, with more than one million user ‘seats’ throughout the world, are the industry’s leading supplier of digital video systems and solutions. Expected revenues for Ciprico from this relationship are expected to exceed several million dollars over the coming year.
The Ciprico FibreSTORE RAID system combines single or dual FibreSTORE RAID controllers with Ciprico’s FibreSTORE disk enclosures to create high performance, large capacity, fault-tolerant storage systems.
Visual computing applications such as film and video production, broadcasting, remote sensing and defense imaging all benefit from this flexible product.
