Unique digital hire service a first for Soho

Television and film graphics technology support company Sufficiently Advanced Magic (S.A.M.)are branching out in to the hire business, providing Soho post houses with a new and unique service.
The Digital Hire Service is a new departure for the company and founded on the need for post houses to have access to increased processing and storage capacity on a short-term basis. S.A.M. already offer extensive IT and technical support for the Soho graphics community but will now hire out dedicated DTF units and specially configured render farms to back up and augment existing facilities. Initially they will be offering Sony DTF 1 units and Hewlett Packard render farms.
S.A.M. Commercial Director David Dowling said: “We have found an increasing number of clients often need to access more digital storage, particularly when engaged in more than one large scale project. Up to now they have had to go and make an outright purchase if they couldn’t work their systems around what they already had - a big investment for anyone right now.”
