McMillan supply The Hampshire Street Studios with new technology

McMillan have supplied £50,000 worth of new technology to Hampshire Street Studios.
The North London based studio have added to their existing facilities with Panasonic camera equipment and an Avid editing suite. The installation is part of a new phase in the three year-old studios history, as it aims to provide a more comprehensive facility for its in-house productions, plus film and video makers, and photographers.
The Hampshire Street Studio is operated by Cosprop, who have been leading costumiers to the film, TV and theatre business for over 35 years. The 32FT x 55FT studio has a L-shaped cove and adjustable contoured black drapes plus 3 phase electrics to accommodate all lighting requirements. The studio has so far been used for Cosprop in-house productions and outside hire projects including corporate videos, documentaries, test shots, commercials and stills photography.
The newly installed Avid Xpress suite will be available for use by hiring production companies and also as a dry hire for offline projects. The Panasonic AJ-SDX900 camera, which is used on many high profile programmes, will allow the in-house production company to shoot its own projects and will also be available for customer use.
“This is an important new phase for Cosprop and Hampshire Street Studios and to ensure it was done correctly we had to chose the right technology and the best people to provide it – hence we chose McMillan,” comments Max Yeomans, Studio Manager, Hampshire Street Studio. “It is the only company that could provide us with the acquisition and editing equipment and had a technical and practical knowledge about the industry that far surpassed any other company we spoke to.”
The McMillan Soho team provided Hampshire Street Studio with technical consultation, installation of the equipment, product training and will provide on-going support.
