TVU Networks Demos Aerial Newsgathering Pack

TVU Networks will demonstrate the world's first Aerial Newsgathering Pack at IBC 2015. It will provide news organisations and professional video production crews the ability to transmit live full HD video to any broadcast facility or central delivery network (CDN).

The TVU Aerial Newsgathering Pack combines DJI's aerial camera system Inspire 1 with a TVU One compact IP video transmitter in a single package. Designed for ultra-fast deployment, the Aerial Newsgathering Pack is capable of transmitting live full HD video with sub-second latency while the Inspire 1 is in the air, giving more than 20 minutes of flight time. Live video captured by the aerial newsgathering pack can be received at any broadcast facility or CDN and then shared with a TV or web audience. With TVU and DJI, broadcasters and news agencies can quickly deploy drone technology into their existing production workflows.

The solution combines DJI's Inspire 1 with TVU's TVU One IP video transmitter to deliver a fully-integrated live transmission solution capable of delivering live video from practically any location. Both the TVU One transmitter and Inspire 1 fit in a portable pack for fast deployment. The solution is capable of transmitting in full HD.

In addition to the TVU One, TVU's TVUPack TM8200 also integrates with DJI's Inspire 1. DJI and TVU will demonstrate live stream footage from drones from two different locations remote from the RAI – in the skies above Barbing in Germany and from Baarn in the Netherlands. This real-time footage will be streamed to the DJI booth in Hall 9, C33.

TVU Networks will also feature the Inspire 1 with the TVU One transmitter as a portable on-the-go Aerial Newsgathering pack in Hall 2, B28. There's also a chance to win a Phantom 3 from DJI by visiting the TVU Networks booth before Sunday 13th September.
