Sony win IABM innovation award

The Professional Optical disc from Sony was named as the winner of the 2003 IABM Peter Wayne Award for design and innovation.
Eagerly sought after, this year's award attracted entries from across four continents.
The judges have also nominated the Leader LV5700 with FS3018 Lighting Monitor software from Leader and FreeSpeak from Drake Electronics to receive Recognition of Excellence awards. These were introduced in 1999 to acknowledge the diversity of products spanning a wide spectrum of applications and include both software and hardware solutions.
The IABM invites entries from all IBC exhibitors irrespective of whether or not they are members.
Making the presentation, David Bradshaw, DTG observed on behalf of the judging panel: "The winning award reflects long and detailed consideration by the judges of many technical and application benefits of each entry."
He added: "Without this carefully considered matrix, comparison and ranking of the entries that span a broad diversity of technologies and applications would be impossible".
