Ciprico introduces multi-stream broadcast solutions

At NAB 2002, Ciprico will be introducing and demonstrating their high-performance solutions for the most demanding multi-stream broadcast editing applications in the industry.
The company plans to demonstrate the product's capabilities at a comprehensive collaborative work group file-sharing solution using two different technologies (SAN and NAS). Then, to highlight Ciprico's new storage solutions, a typical broadcast workflow demonstration will follow – displaying the latest in INGEST to HDTV playback and broadcast-to-air applications.
The company's latest digital media appliance, the Ciprico DiMeda 2400 will also be introduced at NAB 2002. This storage appliance combines SAN performance with NAS ease of use to dramatically lower the life cycle cost of a multi-platform shared storage solution for rich media content.
The Ciprico DiMeda 2400's high performance and fault-tolerant dual node architecture combine to make this the first network attached storage product truly capable of addressing mid-to-high end visual media applications.
Ciprico's TALON 1000 storage solution, initially designed for the demanding applications of military environments, will be previewed and is ideal for use on ENG broadcast vehicles and features a unique, removable drive pack.
The entire set of disks can be removed and/or replaced in a single operation for easy transportation of data between locations.
