FOR-A To Display Products At The SATELLITE Show

News Image
FOR-A America is to exhibit its signal processing, multi-viewer, frame rate conversion, and encoder/decoder technologies at the SATELLITE Show.

Taking place March 17-19 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, 2015 marks the second year that FOR-A will exhibit a number of its products that are ideal for satellite applications at the event.

At SATELLITE, FOR-A will display its MV-1620HSA 4K compatible multi-viewer. The FOR-A MV-1620HSA 3G/HD/SD/Analog Mixed High-Resolution multi-viewer is a 1 RU unit that accepts up to 16 channels of signals for monitoring on up to two screens. The full-featured multi-viewer includes the option to cascade it with other units to display up to 64 sources simultaneously, and features a Windows-based Layout Manager that enables easy layout of 4K video in a seamless display by using four 3G-SDI inputs. The MV-1620HSA includes video streaming capabilities for remote monitoring, additional local computer display and error capture.

FOR-A will also showcase Fujitsu's IP-920 real-time high fidelity video transmission series. The compact encoder/decoder series uses H.264 advanced MPEG-4 AVC technology encoding to perform real-time transmission of HDTV at low bit rates over DVB and broadband IT networks. Capable of operating at less than 99ms back-to-back latency, the IP-920 encoder/decoder equipment features robust error correction using Fujitsu proprietary technologies, enabling broadcast quality video to be sent over public Internet connections. FOR-A is the North American distributor for Fujitsu's line of high-performance encoders and decoders, which are ideal for HD/SD content delivery use in broadcast, enterprise and government applications.

On the signal processing front, FOR-A will showcase a few of its latest technologies at SATELLITE, including the award-winning FA-1010 unit. The signal processor offers extreme connectivity, including 10 video inputs and outputs, as well as multi-channel routing between sources and effective video and audio signal processing for line, relay, reporting, production, editing and delivery applications. FOR-A will also display its FA-505 multi-channel signal processor. The five-input, five-output signal processor features up/down/cross/aspect ratio conversion capability on each input, and is ideal for 4K video production.
