Creative Skillset Launches Media Archive Traineeship

News Image
Creative Skillset has launched its first Media Archive Traineeship and is currently looking for applicants to the programme.

The body is working with Film London and FOCAL International to give 10 individuals the chance to gain work experience in the creative industries as Media Archive Trainees.

Successful applicants will receive four weeks' paid intensive practical training in London, developing skills in film handling, media asset management, intellectual property rights and digital marketing, all while learning about the role of heritage and archives in film and TV.

They will then be matched with two UK-based media archive companies and complete paid industry work placements lasting up to 10 weeks each.

Applicants must apply by Monday 23 March 2015.
