Saudi Arabian broadcaster to install PTV video generators

UK-based broadcast systems integrator All Systems International (ASI) have placed an order with Danish metering specialist DK-Audio for three PTV PT5230 digital video generators.
The PT5230s, which feature up to four SDI generators in one 19” rack unit, are destined for the Ministry of Information, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which is currently being upgraded by Modern Media Systems, who have been local agents and associates of ASI for over 15 years. The units will be used for sync and pattern generation in the master control room and continuity for the broadcaster’s channels one and two.
ASI’s managing director, Zuhair Sabawi, said: “We have used PTV test and measurement products on many occasions in the past and have always been happy with the results. This is why they were chosen again – if something works, why change it?”
ASI were established 15 years ago and have particularly strong links with broadcasters and broadcast systems and products Value Added resellers (VARs) in the Middle East. It handles a variety of broadcast related activities from sales and distribution of products to complete design, supply and integration projects such as audio studios, TV studio builds, OB vehicles and facility upgrades.
